SPS
Between an aeroplane landing and taking off again the safety functions specific to the airport are performed by a variety of ground support vehicles.
These include among others aircraft tugs and tractors, de-icing vehicles, power supply equipment, passenger stairs, electric carts, cargo loaders, waste disposal vehicles, water tenders, tankers, catering vehicles and the fire service.
Many of these vehicles already have SPS for various control tasks like lifting, loading, extending, retracting, turning, docking, coupling, testing and approving – to which we add other functions.
The individual operations themselves do not present difficulties but we often have to reprogram SPS software of a wide range of suppliers like Siemens, AEG, Mitsubishi, Bosch and IFM.
