For many years now short production lead times, high flexibility and those stocks are an absolute must in most production and distribution facilities. The use of technology together with a range of organisational measures is essential to fulfil this requirement. In the case of logistics, material flow is particularly important and – through the choice of suitable internal transport vehicles – makes a major contribution to efficiency and speed. The range of use for internal transport vehicles is wide. Within the framework of floor-bound systems the vehicles – mostly automatically controlled – are primarily used for material transport. In each case features from the total range are chosen to be in accordance with the requirements of a customer.
